Stand

Basic Stand Elements

PLMA’s exhibit rate includes white system separation walls, a standard fascia construction with a black imprint of company name and stand number on a white board, grey carpet tiles and early-morning stand cleaning on both show days.

All individual exhibitors must submit the Shell Stand Form on PLMA's Exhibitor Portal (exhibitor login required) to confirm if they need the standard fascia structure and/or standard grey carpet tiles. Exhibitors with a custom-built structure must make sure to clearly display their company name and stand number in their stand.

IMPORTANT: Rental material will be collected immediately after show closing and all PLMA Shell Scheme stands will be dismantled on Wednesday night. Exhibitors must make sure to remove all of their property, including any wall decorations, immediately after show closing and see to it that their items are not left behind in storage or kitchen areas, cabinets etc. Neither PLMA nor its contractors shall be liable for any cost arising from damages, loss or theft related to exhibitor properties.

Dimensions & Restrictions

Single exhibit units measure 2.97m x 2.97m between the cores of the aluminium support poles, consult the Shell Scheme Fact Sheet for exact dimensions. The fascia board measures 26cm in height and will be imprinted with the exhibitor's company name and stand number as they have been registered with PLMA.

All exhibitors receive PLMA’s stand building restrictions specific to their stand size and configuration together with their stand assignment confirmation. The standard construction height is 2.50m but exhibitors in stands as of 2 units may request a waiver of the standard height restriction. Those exhibitors must submit a detailed stand design, including front and side views and all dimensions and elevations, for approval to PLMA (operations@plma.nl) no later than 22 March.

PLMA reserves the right to disapprove of any design that violates PLMA’s general building restrictions or appears too complicated to be built up and dismantled with the confirmed time schedule. If any construction is erected that violates PLMA's Building Restrictions or deviates from an approved design, PLMA has the right to perform, at the exhibitor’s expense and without further approval from the exhibitor, any work necessary to bring such a construction into full compliance with the restrictions. Neither PLMA nor its contractors shall be in any way liable for any damage to the exhibitor’s display that results from such work.

Use of Floor Space

Exhibitors may not use anything that extends beyond the floor space allocated to them. This includes furniture, refrigeration equipment, plants, displays, lighting fixtures or decoration of any kind. All exhibitors must clearly display their company name and stand number on their stand. PLMA reserves the right to approve all signs/logos attached to the fascia board by the exhibitor.

No exhibitor may obstruct the view or detract from the decor of any adjacent exhibitor nor the trade show generally or operate an audio or video system that interferes with any other exhibitor. PLMA reserves the right to require any exhibitor found in violation of this rule to make such modifications as may be necessary to remove the obstruction or cause of complaint.

Walls

PLMA provides white plastic laminated walls between exhibitors. These walls can be painted in the exhibitor's choice of colour or can be covered by full-colour graphics by the official contractor GIELISSEN at an additional cost.

Exhibitors may affix their own photos or posters to the walls only with special tape provided by the official contractor GIELISSEN at their service desks near Hall 6 and Hall 8 at no charge. No alteration may be made to the shell structure nor any variation to the wall treatment. Damages (glue residue / damaged shell scheme elements) occurring after removing own wall decoration will be charged to exhibitors.

Single Use Plastic Ban

As of 1 January 2024, following EU legislation, the Dutch Government prohibits the use of disposable plastic-containing cups and meal trays on premises, unless they meet stringent high-quality recycling standards.

In compliance with these new regulations, the RAI Amsterdam Convention Center strictly prohibits the use of disposable plastic plates, cutlery, stirrers, straws, hamburger containers, bags and single-use bottles. This restriction also extends to exhibitors participating in events held at RAI, including PLMA's World of Private Label. All food and beverages must be therefore served and presented in reusable or biodegradable materials, including any samples or promotional products.

Additional legislation is in the pipeline but until further notice, the use of paper cups with a max of 5% plastic coating will remain allowed; restrictions on the use of these items may however still be implemented prior to the 2024 World of Private Label. Exhibitors are fully responsible for compliance with these regulations and fully liable for any fines resulting from non-compliance.
